Slovenia's floral messengers

The crickets chirp, birdsong fills the air and a gentle breeze caresses the grass. It feels just like the meadow behind your house. But appearances are deceiving: the meadow is not real, nor are the field flowers. Six "bunches" of computer screens, which communicate with the visitors when touched, sprout from the ground like flowers on stems. In images and words they tell of Slovenia - the wonders of its nature, the people, their culture, science, tourism, economy and sports. In the wink of an eye, they will take anyone willing on a virtual reality trip around Slovenia. This unusual juxtaposition of nature and multimedia shows the Republic of Slovenia as a country where state-of-the-art technology merges with natural potentials and historical tradition.

On other flowers and in the sky above the meadow the EXPO visitors will be able to watch live events from Slovenia, while Slovenes will be able to watch the going-on at the Slovene pavilion in Hanover live via internet.
