Crossroads in a blooming field

Golden straw wreaths shine like the sun on a crossroad with cobblestones and a blooming field, symbolizing the openness and hospitality of Belarus. At the same time they illustrate the geographical position of the country between Western and Eastern Europe, between the Baltic and the countries of the Black Sea.

All the materials of the Belarus Pavilion are as natural as the field of flowers: wood is the dominant material. Several exhibitions take up the themes of the EXPO motto, for example in the "Life after Chernobyl" section.

Another part of the exhibition is dedicated to the arts and crafts and the fine arts. "Belarus in the modern world" is a film showing the country as modern and vibrant with increasing self-confidence and a growing knowledge of its natural diversity.
