Mauritius
A firework of colour under water
Do you want to know why Mauritius is called the "pearl of the Indian Ocean"? Then pay a visit to the "Wonderful Waterworlds" within the SADC joint presentation and see the video on the island of Mauritius, screened in front of a coral wall background.

You will experience a firework of colour - glass-clear lagoons, endless green sugar cane fields in front of black volcanoes, fire-coloured flower alleyways of flamboyant trees and white colonial villas behind high hedges of bamboo. Underwater films show colourful coral beds and swarms of fish swimming by. Below are exotic lionfish and angelfish, lipfish and trumpet fish.

To preserve the natural paradise of Mauritius, it is forbidden to break coral or even to touch it.
