Malaysia
Learning from nature
Natural shapes combined with state-of-the-art technology - Malaysia's vision of sustainable development is already reflected in the pavilion's architecture. The roof resembles a blossom, information terminals look like pitcher plants, and visitors can roam through a mangrove swamp.

The diversity and beauty of nature are one of the country's most important resources. Numerous projects and installations in the Malayan exhibition show how humankind can benefit from nature without destroying it. For example, through the careful utilisation of regenerative medicinal plants from the tropical rainforest or gentle tourism.

The pavilion's centre of attraction is the presentation of the "Multimedia Super Corridor". The project's intention is to turn Malaysia's society into a pioneer in the field of information technology with 20 years. The government wants to set a good example and create the first "digital" seat of government in the world - with paperless administration.
