Bosnia and Herzegovina
Young people create their country's future
Unity coupled with variety is the motto of the multicultural state Bosnia-Herzegovina. Young people from Bosnia-Herzegovina demonstrate how this vision can become reality after the civil war and the peace of Dayton (1995). In the "Workshop for the future" schoolchildren and students present the results of their discussions, which were prepared in project groups before the EXPO. A precondition for peaceful cohabitation between the various population groups - Moslems, Serbs and Croatians - is the economic reconstruction of the country.

In Hanover Bosnia-Herzegovina informs the visitors of the progress made so far and of future plans for reconstruction. Special emphasis is placed on Bosnia-Herzegovina's potential as a tourist destination. To demonstrate this the country's varied landscapes between the Adriatic coast and the mountains and its cultural attractions are exhibited.
