Cyprus
Yellow and blue for "Aphrodite's Island"
Across sand, which reminds visitors of the long beaches of the Mediterranean island, you reach the Cyprus pavilion. The façade of the square building with its white flat grids reflects the blue colours of the sky. Models of archaeological sites point to the almost 9,000 years of Cypriote history.

Discover the Roman floor mosaic of Paphos in the South of the island, which was buried by an earthquake in the fourth century. The Roman amphitheatre recently found in the ruin district of Kourion, which is also located on the Southern coast, was also reconstructed here. "Aphrodite's Bath" reminds people of the Greek goddess of love which, according to mythology, rose from a sea covered with whitecaps off the shores of Cyprus.

In the inside of the presentation, there is a tunnel with four multimedia screens which depict Cyprus during the change of the seasons. Here, you do not only get to know one of the oldest cultural sites around the world but also Cyprus the way it is today.
