Armenia
Off to new horizons on Noah's Ark
Through a wooden reconstruction of Noah's Ark Armenia warns against possible catastrophes and gives hope for a new world. The vessel stands as a symbol for the struggle of humankind for survival. The small Caucasian country takes up its biblical tradition: according to the Old Testament, Mount Ararat was the resting place of Noah's Ark after the Flood. The Armenians, therefore, who were first mentioned towards the end of the 3rd millennium before Christ, rank as one of the cradles of civilisation.

In the year 301 Anno Domini, they already introduced Christianity as the state religion. The Armenian Noah's Ark provides insights into a history of more than two thousands years. The presentation also includes unusual aspects such as the long life of Armenians and the mysterious power of the Armenian stones.
