St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Birds shimmer through the dense foliage
The fertile and water-abundant volcanic soil of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has produced rich vegetation. Plants and birds in all shapes and colours live on the islands. At the Botanical Garden in the capital Kingstown European and local plants grow side by side. They are the legacy of the British and French colonial era.

As a member state of the Caribbean Community CARICOM the exhibitors of the main island and of the 40 or so Grenadine islands will make the flora and fauna come to life in Hanover in pictures. The focus will be on the shimmering tropical birds. Via an acoustic helmet, which can be pulled down from a jungle tree, visitors will be able to hear the sounds of the jungle. Films on the coral-reefs will be shown on underwater monitors.
